About Fairmont Homes

In 1971 the Shea family started building homes deep in the Amish Country of Nappanee, Indiana, under the name Fairmont Homes.  The Shea family was committed to building value for their homeowners.  They believed that Fairmont could build affordable, attractive homes without compromising on the solid, strong construction and high quality components that would provide long-term durability and peace of mind for their home owners.  Today, more than 40 years later, every Fairmont home is still constructed with that same commitment to value, strength and affordability that our customers have loved from the beginning.

Over the years, the homebuilding industry and home design have evolved, and Fairmont Homes has grown along with it.  Today, our homes have a fresh, contemporary look while still providing a warm, comfortable aesthetic that makes our customers happy to come home to a Fairmont.

Since its inception, Fairmont has experienced tremendous success by keeping true to its principles.  Starting as one of the largest single-location homebuilding facilities in the housing industry, we have grown into two separate locations proudly building homes for American families. Together, our family of builders produce VALUE-Packed single and multi-sectional HUD homes built to federal construction requirements, stylish park model RVs, as well as the entry-level to large custom modular homes built to each state's unique building code requirements.

In May of 2015, Fairmont Homes was acquired by Cavco Industries, Inc. (NASDAQ: CVCO), of Phoenix, Arizona, and joined an even larger family of companies.  Having earned a reputation for quality and value since it opened in 1965, Cavco shares a similar business philosophy with Fairmont Homes.  This shared philosophy and home building experience made this union a great fit to aid us in providing Fairmont homebuyers with even more value, flexibility and innovation.
